Crafting a Digital Home for Handcrafted Furniture
Shop handcrafted wooden furniture and decor from Woodie Stores online.

Challenge
The brand needed a dedicated online storefront that presented its craftsmanship clearly and made a varied furniture and wooden décor catalogue easy to explore. The website had to bring brand presentation and practical product discovery together.
Furniture purchases require detailed information. Customers need to understand a product’s appearance, materials and available specifications before deciding whether it suits their space. Clear imagery, useful descriptions and accessible contact routes were central to the shopping experience.
The project also included ecommerce SEO. Product and collection pages needed a defined search focus, supported by relevant content, metadata and internal links across the website.
Approach
We treated website design, development and SEO as connected parts of the project. The catalogue informed the structure: how products would be grouped, how collections would be introduced and how visitors would move from the homepage to individual listings.
Consistent page layouts created a coherent storefront. Product descriptions and supporting content explained the range, while category navigation and search provided different routes for customers to discover relevant pieces.
The SEO work supported this structure through keyword mapping, page-level optimisation and internal linking. The aim was to establish a store that could be maintained as the catalogue and website content developed.
Product discovery guided our approach to the customer journey. Collection links, category browsing and search give visitors several ways to explore the range, while consistent product pages bring imagery, descriptions and available ordering information together. This helps customers move from initial interest to a more informed enquiry or purchase decision.
We planned content around the questions furniture buyers need answered: what an item looks like, which materials are described and how it fits within the wider collection. Product copy, category introductions and FAQs work together to make the catalogue easier to understand and give supporting information a clear place within the store.
Search optimisation followed the same page structure. We aligned relevant topics with product and collection pages, supported them with descriptive metadata and connected related sections through internal links. Using WordPress, WooCommerce and Rank Math keeps product information and SEO fields accessible for ongoing updates as the catalogue evolves.
Design & build
Product-focused design:
We designed the homepage around collection imagery and featured products, giving the furniture a prominent place in the storefront. The visual presentation introduces the brand while providing clear routes into its collections. Consistent typography, spacing and product cards bring the catalogue together.
Ecommerce development:
We developed the store using WordPress and WooCommerce. The catalogue brings together category browsing, product listings, individual product pages, search and cart access. Product pages connect imagery with descriptive information, pricing or enquiry options where applicable, helping customers identify the next available action.
Supporting brand content:
About, contact, FAQ and customer policy pages sit alongside the store, providing practical information that customers may need before ordering. A blog creates space for furniture guidance and ongoing content publishing. WordPress and WooCommerce provide the management structure for future product and page updates.

Ecommerce SEO
Alongside the website build, we completed the ecommerce SEO work across the catalogue and supporting website content. The work combined search-topic planning, on-page optimization and technical review.
- Keyword research and page mapping
We identified relevant search terms and mapped them to suitable product, collection and supporting pages. Product- specific terms give individual listings a defined focus, while broader topics support category content and buying guidance. - Product page optimization
Our product SEO work covered titles, detailed descriptions, short descriptions, focus keywords, meta titles, meta descriptions and URL slugs. Descriptions explain available product information and address relevant customer questions while keeping the wording focused on the item being presented. - Category and website page SEO
Category descriptions explain the collections and add context to the products listed within them. Supporting page content communicates business information and guides visitors towards useful sections of the website. Clear headings organize information for readers. - Metadata and URL structure
We worked on descriptive page titles, relevant meta descriptions and readable URL slugs. These elements communicate page topics and support a consistent catalogue structure. Metadata was written around the relevant product or collection rather than generic repeated wording. - Internal linking
We connected relevant pages and collections to support navigation and discovery throughout the website. Internal links help customers find useful information and establish relationships between the catalogue, supporting pages and furniture guidance. - Technical SEO review
The technical work included reviewing crawlability, indexing, sitemap configuration, canonical URLs and related elements affecting search access. These checks support the content work by examining how search engines encounter and interpret the website. - Blog content and FAQs
Furniture-related articles and FAQs support customer research beyond the catalogue. The content addresses practical questions around selection, care and buying considerations, with relevant links to supporting pages and collections. - Rank Math configuration
We used Rank Math to manage page-level SEO fields and support the optimization process within WordPress. This keeps metadata and relevant page settings accessible for ongoing maintenance and future content updates.
